Priest’s Pools Boonie Stomp – Saturday, December 24 – Easy 3+ hour 1.5 mile hike along a Merizo ridge line and enjoy a scenic view of Cocos island then cool off in the freshwater pools of the Pigua River. Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking boots, gloves, swim suit, sun screen, sunglasses, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. Special condition: mud.  We meet at 9:00 AM in the Center Court of Chamorro Village in Hagåtña. The cost is $2.00 for hikers over 12. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Hikers should provide their own transportation. Guam’s trails are not developed. Weather conditions can make the hikes more difficult than described. Overnight at Mt Jumulong-Manglo for New Year Boonie Stomp – Saturday, December 31 – We meet at Sella Bay Overlook, on Route 2, the Agat to Umatac Highway, at 5 PM for an overnight campout to celebrate the New Year at Mt Jumulong-Manglo. Difficult 12+hrs Stomp Bring: FLASHLIGHTS, PERSONAL CAMPING GEAR, FOOD FOR DINNER & BREAKFAST, and beverages for the evening, 4 quarts water, hiking boots, sun screen, sunglasses, insect repellent, lunch, camera. Special conditions: Hiking over rough rocks and a long ascent, overnight camping, and possible rain.

  • Ague Cove Boonie Stomp – Saturday, January 7 – We meet at 9:00 AM in the Center Court of Chamorro Village in Hagåtña.  Medium 3 hour 1 mile stomp descending to a cove ideal for swimming and snorkeling if the water is calm. Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking boots, swim suit, snorkel gear, gloves, sun screen, sunglasses, insect repellent, lunch, and camera.   • Mt. Santa Rosa Cave Boonie Stomp – Saturday, January 14 – We meet at 9:00 AM in the Center Court of Chamorro Village in Hagåtña.  Difficult 3 hour 0.5 mile hike to explore a unique cave along the volcanic/limestone geological junction. Bring: 3 quarts water, hiking boots, gloves, long pants, insect repellent, lunch, camera, and flashlights.   • La Sa Fua River Boonie Stomp – Saturday, January 21 – We meet at 9:00 AM in the Center Court of Chamorro Village in Hagåtña.  Difficult 4 hour 1 mile stomp to explore the waterfalls of a southwestern Guam valley. Bring: 2 quarts water, swim suit, water shoes, hiking shoes, gloves, insect repellent, sun screen, sunglasses, lunch, and camera.   • Talofofo Cave Boonie Stomp – Saturday, January 28 – We meet at 9:00 AM in the Center Court of Chamorro Village in Hagåtña.  Medium 3 hour 1 mile hike to explore the extensive cave system overlooking Talofofo Bay including Window Rock. Bring: flashlights, 2 quarts water, hiking boots, gloves, long pants, sun screen, insect repellant, lunch, camera, and a flashlight. Guam Boonie Stompers is a non-profit Guam corporation composed of volunteer leaders committed to leading safe and enjoyable hikes to unique destinations on our special island and the protection of our cultural and natural resources while maintaining public access.
